Cloudhiker just reached 30.000 websites! 🥳
Wow, can you believe this? It's been almost 6 years since I started working on Cloudhiker, which was launched under a different name back then. A lot has happened in those years, and what started as kind of a small weekend project quickly became my biggest project ever, and now has evolved into a serious business for me.
Site number 30.000 was submitted by Ceasar and is a character generator for Persona 3 Reloaded. 👀
Looking back
Who could have imagined that Cloudhiker would become such a hit? It all started with a Tweet of somebody mentioning he misses the good old internet days, including a particular site all about exploring the internet. Well, a few weeks later I had put together this small website which led people to all kinds of funny or weird places.
I vividly remember sitting in front of my laptop at a family dinner when my first post about Cloudhiker exploded on Reddit. And since then, more and more people know my site, and share it whenever people ask if the internet is really dead, or how to find cool websites.
Cloudhiker has become a community of wonderful people from all over the world.
